Kelsey Garber: A History

Kelsey graduated from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Cinema where she was involved in many stage productions, film sets, and the Alpha Psi Omega theatre fraternity. Eventually she became president of the Griffon Film Society.

Since graduating she has gained even more theatre experience on stage as well as backstage, working with theatres such as Nashville Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh Festival Opera, and Phoenix Theatre. She is now located in North Carolina where she has appeared on stage in nearly a dozen shows over the course of two years. For a full list of Kelsey's history on and off stage, see her Theatre Resume and Photo Galleries.

She has also been seen in front of and behind camera, gaining experience with directing, writing, and acting for film while in school, and continuing her acting journey with local productions. Watch her Film Performance Reel and find a full list of projects on her Film Resume.

Kelsey has been honored with many recognitions over the course of her academic and professional career, such as Most Promising Freshman and Outstanding Senior at MWSU, Irene Ryan nominations for her performances in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and The Wedding Singer, Best Supporting Actress at the MWSU Griffon Film Festival for Willie and Mac, and most recently Best Supporting Actress for her performance in She Kills Monsters at the CLT End of Season Awards.

In her free time, Kelsey also enjoys storytelling in narrative form, having written a collection of short stories that can be found on the Short Stories tab in the menu above.

She is blessed with all the opportunities she has had to share stories in so many forms, and can't wait to see how many more stories she gets to tell in her future endeavors!
